In fact, most forestry personnel of any stripe would rather sit indoors in the air conditioning; this has been a real problem for forestry services nationwide in recent decades, a phenomenon that emerged for absolutely no reason at all and by sheer coincidence when women and minorities began to swell the ranks.
Just make sure it's a sizable WMA, not the postage stamp-sized ones; camp remotely, well away from roads (modern forest jannies love roads); don't build a fire, and watch your light and sound emissions.
I say "most" because there are still good men, real outdoorsmen, who can and will pop out from behind a tree and catch you even while you're doing your best impression of a mouse in the middle of nowhere. There's nothing you can do to escape their gaze other than hope for the best, because it's what they do and they're good at it.
