Pretty brutal. Makes me wonder wtf is going on in the Mediterranean sea since orcas there are also acting crazy and attacking small boats.
As someone that regularly swims there, this shit kinda makes you want to stay near the shore where you can see and touch the bottom.

They're evolved to slice off chunks of flesh, including from corpses (dead whales n shit) a bite from a shark is sharp and so comparatively clean vs a dog, croc, etc. it's not about killing, it's about eating. Most of their prey won't survive the first bite anyway, and won't be in a state to escape.

The guy was probably already on the brink of death after the first bite if it got his torso, just running on adrenaline.
