Paddle boards

I don't have space for a kayak or regular SUP, I have a few little lakes nearby to fish/ cruise on the water and pretty set on inflatable stand up paddle board, fitted with a kayak seat to sit and paddle if I want.

But what the fuck is up with all of these random ass brands? I can't tell what's made-up name brand Chinese junk, and what's quality. Other than some are $199 complete kit with shipping, and others (BOTE, iROCKER, GILI) are $1099 + $80 shipping

I can't justify $1000 but the $200 ones seem cheap, I just don't want to sink out in the middle of the lake

Why don't you go to the closest harbour craft/princess auto or Costco? I'd stay away from the random letter brands all over Amazon.

Costco used Body Glove as a tried true trusted name brand and they had a recall about the seams ungluing. These things were Chinese ching chongers with Body Glove slapped on them and charged $650.

I think you will learn that it's pretty expensive and requires quality manufacturing to make an inflatable anything that doesn't start to leak after a couple of months. even name brand air mattresses often don't last long. I'm sure a cheap one will work fine for the first couple of outings, likely start to slowly lose air over the span of a few hours, and eventually start to split at seams.there is also a reason inflatables are more often used in saltwater as well, less obstacles and structure that could puncture your craft sticking just below the surface.

go with a SOT kayak instead. Cheaper and way better overall and you can stand on the better ones if you want that experience. Also can attach a small motor. You can make room, build a rack, this isn't rocket science.
Paddleboards are a gimmicky fad that will be dead in 3 years. Kayaks are eternal. They make inflatable kayaks.
