>>2611502I know the feeling, I usually bring a dedicated camera so I can leave my phone turned off in my bag where it isn't distracting but this time I left the camera behind so I could trim weight for some longer days. Remember if you leave your phone on to put into airplane mode so when you leave cell service your phone doesn't constantly keep trying to re-acquire a signal because that will drain your battery very fast.
I ended up getting a bunk in a hostel so I could do a 2 day trip last weekend. There were a ton of AT folks there so I felt a bit out of place as a weekend warrior but it was worth it, on the first day I went up Edmands Path to connect to Crawford Path and summited Mt. Eisenhower, Franklin Monroe and finally Mt Washington. Day two I met up with some folks and we did the Falling Waters/Old Bridle Path loop up Mt. Lincoln and Mt. Lafayette. All told I covered about 22 miles and 9,000 feet of elevation gain and it was incredible.
