/out/ over there was incredibly dystopic.
I had 4 police turn up in Wales because I was going to kayak some river and I didn't have permission, it wasn't even private land, just the roadside, but someone leased it from the gov. or some shit and complained.
Fishermen would constantly abuse us on our local whitewater, they're fish ffs, they don't care if something floats past, people regularly fish from boats and kayaks as I understand it.
Also pretty much wherever you go there are hordes of people enjoying the "serenity" of nature.
Can easily go for a week here without seeing another person. Hell, one of the huts near here I went to didn't even have anyone fill out the intentions book for 13 years. People use them 99% of the time here.
