It's more spectacular than Badlands. There's more trails than Badlands. There's a cozy town that isn't touristed to hell (Medora>Wall).
TRNP is more rugged, more wildlife, less crowded. It's better in every way. I guess people are just to pussy to drive up there because it's so out of the way from the topical "Out West" road trip.
