i go in the woods to get away from electronics and gadgets, all i take is a powered off phone, haven't taken a photo while hiking in like 15yrs.
i'll post something in the outings thread next time i get out there. dealing with a health issue that thins my blood and makes me go hypothermic randomly in any weather right now. probably next month.

Visit at least 2 of the 3 national parks in the state.
Hopefully climb one of the major volcanoes south of Seattle (St. Helens, Adams, Rainier) depending on permit/guide availability and conditions.
Go on a few destination hikes to waterfalls and viewpoints.
Do some off-the-beaten-path exploration in the national forests.
Spend some time in Seattle at the beginning and end of my vacation.

Nice, op. I just went this past weekend for the first time. We did Park Butte lookout up in Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, Maple Loop trail because fucking everybody recommended (was pretty good but Park Butte blew that shit away) and some smaller ones. Camped four nights in various spots. Definitely my favorite between Yosemite, Yellowstone, Colorado Rockies and this. The Canadian Rockies around Banff/Jasper are the only comparable mountains I've been to. Will share some pics.

First pic was Maple Pass trail with Anne Lake. Fucking mosquitos did not give a SHIT about bug spray there. Beautiful hike though, real easy, probably the most popular in the park for people who can walk.

Another direction from Park Butte lookout. I'll stop here cause I have a ton of photos but I recommend this trail for sure. 9mi out and back, something like 3500 elevation gain? Really moderate and nice going. Only one switchback area through an old growth forest and the inclines at the top. 10/10 hike, and you're free to camp anywhere out there as it's technically not in the national park itself.
