how big of a bugnet should you get for tarp camping? to cover opening of your tarp or just your body when in your sleeping bag?

It doesn't work like this. Bugs will still get in.
You should choose between a headnet, sleeping bag with integrated bugnet (carinthia tropen) or a completely closed shelter setup.

Please explain how bugs will get into pic. It has a sewn floor, a full zipper, and is completely enclosed. It’s basically a double walled tent minus the rain fly.

That’s the Borah Gear bug net. It’s a separate bug net designed specifically for tarp camping. It’s exactly what OP needs.
