>>2607744It was safe because I followed the golden rules:
-Don't go out at night at all
-Don't spend too long in places where people look stressed
-Avoid places where there no women around. There's a reason why there are no females there -- because there's danger. As odd as it sounds coming from a man, this one has never failed me because it's an observation that I made once and it kept me out of trouble.
It's a conservative society but there are a lot of female police/guards because the women deal with the women and the men deal with the men. You're safe getting money because there's a serious man with an AK47 standing by the machine -- I always nodded at them because they do a real job and I respected them.
Anyway, Kenya is a decent place to visit. The infrastructure is awful even in the city (though you can getr a KFC delivered via motorbike faster than in the UK) but the people are good on the whole. You'll always be a big white wallet to some but even then they're pretty decent about it. It's enlightening to see how happy people can be when they have an unthreatened culture, a strong Church, wide family/tribal associations... they will never have much but they are generally happier than we are from what I can see.
There are a lot of sweet, old fashioned women. They go in heart first so be honest and kind. It's a country of great asses, everywhere you go they're bouncing along with you. Of course you're very high value as a white man and can basically have any woman or at least that's how it feels.
The safaris are great. You see all the animals that you expect and you can sense that the rangers are men who really care for their nature and are willing to protect it if neccesary.
I'll honestly answer any question you've got -- I've been there 3 times because I have a female friend there who I visit 1-2 times per year.
