Just visited. Why does this forest suck so much?
>logging everywhere destroying forest and roads
>same thing with mining destroying the roads and forests
>littered with shitty small towns throughout
>drive up any FS road and you'll find someones private property fenced off
>practically no dispersed camping spots to even park your truck
>cuck forest sits below 7k ft elevation

Lol. In the 1500s the Sioux lived in the Carolinas. In 1700 they lived in Missouri. Tell me again how precious and sacred the Black Hills were to a people who didn't know they existed until after the US was founded.

The Black Hills are mostly in South Dakota, which is almost entirely evangelical and Republican. All the smart kids who grow up thete flee because there's nothing to stay for. The USFS has basically zero public pressure to preserve anything in the Black Hills, but a lot of people demanding access to timber and minerals.

Same at Michaux in PA. Called the ranger office and asked why a huge section of a fucking state forest got clearcut like they're getting ready to put in a strip mall, and they said it was for a "timber sale". That whole section of the forest is ruined for years.

This is complete and utter bullshit. The ancestors of the Sioux moved up from the central Mississippi valley into MN/WI in the 900s and by 1500 they were fully ensconced in central MN and had started pushing westward into the Dakotas even before the horse arrived. You are either lying or ignorant. which is it?

this isnt even accurate. The Sioux were driving the Arkikara out of the area by the mid-1700s and obviously knew of the place long before that.
