I enjoy the outdoors. Problem is I'm absolutely terrified to death by centipedes and millipedes. I'm not afraid of anything else except those motherfuckers.

Every time I'm on a hike or camping my mind is occupied for a good chunk of the time by the possibility I'll come across one. The worst part too is that my "outdoors" is the American southwest desert which is home to the giant desert centipede, one of the largest of its kind growing up to 8 inches.

Any advice about how you overcame your phobias of certain insects or other wildlife?
