Help me develop statistics based strategies for looting high level npc’s.

Zero in on the highest rate of missing persons by National Parks and National Forests. Don’t waste your time on low tier tourist traps that will lead to intermediate loot at best.

local drug gangs are known to dump the bodies of their victims along the country road and forest that i like to visit most often. the cops even had a cctv pointed at the parking area of the park as though thats going to do anything. havent found any bodies yet but lots of pop cans from the 80s and old rusty logger equipment from the early 1900s

Promising. Another thought I had since I’m in Northern AZ. I could drive down to the border and find immigrants that ran out of water. But quite frankly, I think the loot would be trash. Maybe looking for cartel hotspots and looting dead combatants?

I don’t even need to because they just tend to fall for stuff on their own. Pic rel, a Forest fire has closed all local highways and Google maps is diverting them onto washed out FS roads that only high clearance vehicles can navigate.

Without going criminal, I would say the easiest trap would be a pitfall covered in foliage like the punji traps of SE Asia.

When I was a kid we used to go to water parks, I would swim in the lazy river with goggles and find all sorts of stuff, wallets, jewelry, watches, etc.

People are lounging backwards and shit falls out of their pockets. They're looking up at the sky, not down under the water. They're tired and drained from the sun and trying to keep track of their kids running around all over the place. They lose shit without realizing it.

This was in the 90's when I was a kid, there were days when I made over $200 in cash, and there's always some gold and silver jewelry, if you find a watch or a diamond ear ring, you just made bank. I'm not sure if credit cards, digital payments and 'resort bucks'/wristband/app packages mean people carry less cash but there should at least be something of value in most water park lazy rivers.

This reminds me of the flash flood that took out 9. They were out of towners so they had no idea. But the loot was trash so if you want to capitalize on this idea, you’d need to juice them up with ultralight gear first or something.
