>>2610056To be fair, Denver proper is a mostly flat city in the midwestern plains. CO Springs and Boulder are cities that are at least in the foothills and on/in the edge of the mountains.
Denver had a few main bike paths along the rivers, and there were some regional trails that went to/from suburbs, but they didn't even have any bike lanes until about 5 years ago.
You can walk around and 'hike' along the urban paths and city parks, you can go to outdoor type stores and stuff, but there's nothing really special about Denver itself, even Salt Lake City at least touches the mountains.
