>>2609389As a longbow hunter this thread really resonates with me. Compound bows are almost as gay as Olympic recurves. All bow hunting is difficult, but compounds are difficult for all the wrong reasons. Just a bunch of fucking around, tuning, fixing, adjusting, tuning again, endlessly. All so that you can get the same results you would have with a rifle while pretending that you're le traditional hunter man.
Also my favourite is when some clown shows up to the archery range and starts shooting super tight groups on the 20 meter targets for an hour straight. Like wow buddy, you're a real slick shot. Everyone here is super impressed and we're all glad that you're hogging a target in the most crowded area of the range instead of using one of the many vacant 30, 40 or 50 meter targets.
