>>2619573There's absolutely no one on the route I posted because most of it isn't on google maps, it's much steeper at first too so that helps. Avoid mam tor at all costs. If you follow the blue line north onto the side of the hill at the start and head east instead of west, it's also very empty, you can walk until you hit that big plantation forest, lots of good firewood, but it's on a slope, so expect to spend a good hour looking for a decent place to pitch a tent, unless you want to camp near the beach, but there will be more people there, shouldn't have a problem though I don't think as it's not a popular route, a hammock would be good for that area if you want to camp in the forest.
You can also park by snake woodland, follow the river ashop west until you can go up kinder scout. If you want to do a circular route that way there's no trail, but you should be okay, just wear boots and trousers.
Generally though, people will clear out before dinner time, and you won't find many people too early in the morning either
