You could go pretty much anywhere and pitch a tent, so no reason to look for paths and shit, just go wherever you want. A lot of beautiful places to see outside of the tourist paths and places. Our national parks is a good place to start, stay away from the tourist spots in our parks and you'll be pretty much alone. Some of them like Rondane and Dovrefjell are very crowded on one side of the national park, and very empty on the opposite side.
