>>2613175damn you shure are autistic about it not only knowing these numbers but also the ones for norway, where im from. not that there is anything wrong about it.
with the exception of some unlucky groose and ducks i have never hunted myself, cant find the time nor desire to do it but i grew up into it and partake in other ways all the time, including shooting just for fun, i just know its an activity that demand 100% effort and i dont have that time to spare.
there is a slightly different philosophy about it here, everyone knows the requirements are kinda overkill but you might not understand how deeply professional hunting is done here. 6,5 thats got long traditions here due to the krag-jørgensen and is within specs is seen as kinda unprofessional when 308 exist, why would you willing not use the best? if you showed up with anything AR related you would get laughed at and told to go home. its actually available but really in a gray area. we are cucked from semi's based on military and modular design, except if you do sports shooting.
but there is no law against using a sporting rifle for hunting... just our attitude towards it that question ones sanity and intentions if they show up hunting with pic related that i just now found for sale.
the goal for hunters here is to get the animal to drop instantly in one shot, within reason. you dont need high capacity mags and semi for that, a classic bolt action is enough. but we dont mind paying 5000 for a straight pull blaser, not to mention birdhunters with their shotguns, 20k for a side-by-side...
my dad uses a converted k98 and he is of the old school. always sceptical to thoose with fancy guns and veird calibers.
>"thoose new guys now come with plastic guns and calibers i cant even pronounce..."
