>>2614670>Buck 112 and 110 I'm the anon that posted the Civivi Elementum Button Lock. The main downside of Buck folders is that they are heavy and cumbersome. You are getting a back lock folder with fuddy, unnecessary shit like brass bolsters and laminated wood. All that adds a ton of weight. A Buck 110 weighs more than twice that of a Mora Companion, but the Companion will actually chew through tasks like batoning and feather sticking. Batoning with a 110 will straight up break it and the hollow grind, though really good for slicing, is bad at wood working (I get it's designed as a hunting folder, but my Civivi also has a hollow grind that's even thinner behind the edge with a better steel). You also don't get a pocket clip of any sort on the 110 and 112, meaning you will have to carry it in a belt pouch or loosely in your pocket, which is annoying for half a pound of knife that is still unfit for heavy duty work.
Now look at my Civivi, 14C28N steel, which is quite a bit better than 420HC, even with the Bose HT, G10 grip scales, deep carry pocket clip (so it can actually be used as a proper pocket knife), button lock, one hand opening, amazing detent, so fidgety and precisely machined it doubles as a fidget spinner. Cost me just over $75, the same a 110 would run me. It's a no brainer.
