Good morning /out/! I just came back from the field yesterday, here’s a pic of the Sheep Desert in the Wyoming Southern Winds. I show this to you because I bumped into a guy on the trail and mentioned how beautiful this area was and he recommended the Talkeetna River in Alaska, where he said there were a lot of these wide open plains at high altitude, and very windy thus no mosquitos. Does anyone have any experience with backpacking in Alaska or this area specifically and can give advice?
