I got all sorts of this shizz all over the woods. we used to have horses and when the field overgrew it was like a solid acre of blackberries and raspberries for years. used to collect buckets of them. good times.

Rabies is not spread this way. Fox tapeworms (echinococcus multilocularis) are spread this way, I mean with shit. Shit of infected foxes contains the tapeworm eggs. Eating the eggs has nasty consequences. You don't lave to literally eat shit – just anything that had contact with it and spread the eggs. I understand people who prefer being safe than sorry.
