its been steadily around 30 celsius here the past while. ive been spending all my free time in my shelter at the nude beach alternating between resting in the shade and swimming in the (still cold) north pacific. honestly i dont know how people survive with clothing on in southern climates. but anyway lifes good bros.

I learned about wet bulb (though we called it “dew point”) in 6th grade science class back in 1999. We even put wet papertowel on mercury thermometers and swung them around our heads on string to measure it. And then had to get the jannies to come clean up the mercury spill when the kid who thought being retarded was the height of comedy broke his thermometer on a desk. Of course, since it was 1999, this was a 10 minute class disruption, instead of a building evacuation.

The problem is mercury getting into your bloodstream, which metallic mercury has a hard time doing. The vapor can be dangerous, though.
