the saw teeth are all stress points for it to break, so it won't be nearly as strong or durable as a normal machete.
i prefer a normal machete and folding saw.

Looks pretty sweet to me.
Would suck getting hit with either side of it though the drawback of parrying a blow with the back would be damage to the sawtooth's, but as a tool over a weapon it's functional.

Excellent, they do seem to have quality control issues on the African-made machetes. In general I like Cold Steel, but have had bad luck with the latin model.

I bought a machete so I could tell my wife I have some sort of self-defense weapon against wild animals and serial killers for hiking. I've never taken it out of its sheath. It is fun to spin around and play with though, so it was worth the seven bucks.
