>>2623481Tbh It looks mild enough that it would fall into the type of injury that you just wait for it to go away. Maybe rub some aloe or anti itch cream so you don't make it worse by itching it. Maybe pop a benadryl if you need it to go away, I wouldn't.
I think your body just came in contact with something and is reacting to it this way. I've broken out in hives all over from seemingly nothing before, after spending a week /out/, and nothing became of it.
The woods are filled with all kinds of stuff like this, but only rarely can it be really bad. The really bad stuff you should be aware of is, in no particular order, lyme and ticks, hantavirus, venomous snakes, bad mushrooms, rabies, and waterborne parasites. The little redness on your ankle isn't any if those things. Maybe wear higher socks next time, pants, or both.
