Me and my friends are going for a festival in South Spain next week. This is going to be very hot.

I have been thinking about buying a tarp in decathlon but they are saying to just use bedsheets or tablecloths as a makeshift tarp

Am I being a pussy or are they wrong? Will this work to prevent heat? the camping are has some high trees but with little foliage.
