I have spent days searching far and wide for a pair of outdoors/hiking pants that DO NOT have a DWR coating, they cannot be found

Literally fucking everything has it, to avoid it you're basically stuck with denim

So i was thinking, if theres a way to "destroy" the DWR coating then i could just buy one of the million options of outdoors pants and then render them DWR free on my own

The reason i don't want DWR is because i need to have the pants treated with Permethrin, any water resistant coating does not allow the Permethrin to absorb. I live in New England and the fucking ticks are everywhere, i've already had Lyme and dont want it again or that new one that makes you allergic to meat
