>>2627487If possible, go bordering the Mediterranean coast, all the way to either Alicante or Elche. Mostly because there's lots of interesting nature places in the region to go AND tourist destinations (Examples: "Pou Clar" and the Terra Mítica theme park).
However, most important destination in this entire area imo is the "Palmeral de Elche". If you go all the way to Elche, this place is a must. Simply beautiful, it's a World Heritage site.
Now, to go towards Lisboa, you will most surely have to go through Madrid. Take the chance to visit as much of the center of the peninsula as possible (like Toledo and Extremadura).
