Hi /out/ what do you think of this backpack? i guess i can cope with casual hikes but do you find it useful for hard travelling and mountaneering / camping?

Its got a 35 L capacity btw

It lacks all of the usual straps to you need for mountaineering. There's no way to attack ice picks easily for example.

And generally it doesn't help that you don't show us the load bearing system on the other side.

I know it, it's a basic but well built military backpack. You can hardly get something better for its price (around 40€ in France fyi), but you can surely get a better bag for a little more money.

I bought an eberlestock skycrane 2, with meat bag, rain cover, riffle scabbard, super spike duffel, endo frame for the g1 little brother and hipbelt for g1 little brother. It should have been over $900 for all of it. but I bought it for like $600 in all use ebay

Don't want to start a thread about a question that is probably stupid, so may as well ask it here.

How do you go about attaching a tent to a backpack? Is there a special kind of wrap you can buy? Or is there a place for it on certain backpacks?

Any way to do it is good as long as it holds.

Some backpacks have straps intended to hold external stuff, some have straps on the side to tighten the backpack so things inside don't move around, but you can use them to hold something, some have loops and rings you can use to attach the tent with some bungee cord... or you can get a bigger pack and fit it in.

Your choice.

Agreed, just buy a lightweight tent and put it into your backpack.

Google for some diagrams on how to pack a hiking bag, it's pretty easy
