Awesome Chicken of the Woods from spring. Still haven't found Psilocybe Cubensis around here but doing a lot of hunting as it turns to fall and through fall hoping to find one

Yeah, it was awesome. I just recently got into growing mushrooms (mainly growing Cubensis but I'm interested in growing gourmet shrooms too) so I wish I had collected a spore print, but from my understanding they are very hard to cultivate which is why they are so valuable.

Check out PhillyGoldenTeacher on youtube, he has really good guides for mushroom cultivation. Basically you get spores and use them to inoculate agar cups (gelatin-like substance), then once the agar is colonized you transfer that to a jar of grain, once that is colonized you transfer that into a box with your main grow medium in it. Whole process is around 1-2 months depending on the mushroom. Biggest part of at-home mushroom cultivation is preventing contamination by sterilizing everything and using a 'still air box' to work in.

I just recently got into growing, i tried to grow last year but lost my agar cups to contam because wasn't careful. What does philly do that is reddit tier? He was recommended to me by guy i knew over internet who had a mushroom grow operation in New Mexico. I did make an account on shroomery recently though and want to start exploring that website more

I haven't looked at his videos in a couple years. Is he still growing on Uncle Bens, dropping spores directly to UB/grain/LC and using a box fan "flow hood"? It's all the stupid things noobs do before they find real, proven teks by experienced mushroom growers on the actual mushroom growers forums, not image boards, where you're as likely of not more to be trolled as to get an honest answer.
