NH native here, NH is only good for /out/, I don't recommend actually moving to NH.

I moved to Boston where there's actually shit to do and there are young people. Access to world class healthcare. Drive up to the mountains several times a month to get /out/, not always the Whites.

Town I grew up in:

>Their rebel kids vandalize neighborhoods constantly
>Their favorite pastime is take a tire, load it up with gasoline, light it on fire and roll it down a road
>Had a Nordic ski area until they closed because climate change made their business literally impossible

Maybe once all the boomers die off NH could become a nice place but I'm guessing Gen X will just take over and keep on doing the same thing.

Lastly, NH's shitty healthcare system killed my dad. So fuck you libertarians and your shit for brain ideals/policy.

If I ever get married and decide to stay in the Northeast I'll probably move to VT.

Well, mediocrity plus proximity to all the good stuff. It's nearer to the good /out/ shit in Maine, plus the White Mountains are great in their own right, but also right next to Boston where the money is.

Honestly I view ME/NH/VT as more or less one bloc with slightly different flavors but a lot in common. The states are full of gun toting, weed smoking rednecks a lot more easy going than the rednecks down south. I see the Mass border as leaving my home turf because that's the line where I can no longer walk around with a concealed handgun without thinking twice about it like you can in those 3 states.
