>>2634298>>2634317>>2636901RTTs and shells are kinda out of the question if you use your truck as a truck, they limit cargo height and stop you from standing in the bed to load or unload things. Shells in particular add a shitload of weight too, especially factoring in the rack to hold them, drawer system you're probably gonna want since getting to the front of the bed is a bitch, etc. Both options are pretty expensive too, and you're gonna need one of those stupid extension tents if you've got a short bed truck (which is practically everything these days, especially off road trims).
Bed tent isn't the nicest option but it's something you can remove and store in minutes when you're not camping and it at least keeps you up off the ground where you don't have to worry about getting flooded or having creatures fuck with you or whatever.
