yesterday evening i checked my traps as usual and what do you know? a bobcat. a fuckin bobcat.

baited with canned salmon, caught in my smallest trap (about 2x3). immediately went home and got my gloves on and carried the trap to my garage. I dont even have my cages completed yet so im working double time to get at least one complete. I have a buddy coming over after work tomorrow to help me out so I hope to have it ready by this weekend. until then the cat will have to stay in my (air conditioned) garage.

I dont know if its a boy or a girl. its probably a foot long at the most. the owner of my local pawn shop said hed come over tonight and look at it for me (he may be able to tell but didn't promise anything.)

super excited, its a real beautiful cat. the markings aren't as prominent as i expected and its not big and buff looking like pictures of bobcats online but im guessing this is just a young cat and its coat is thin because its summer.
