That green rubber lure at the top will do alright to catch trout, and if there are fly's in there you can use a fly with a floater a meter off it and float it down river in a current. Goes good for spin fishing. What line grade have you got? It will be hard to catch anything in clean fresh water with heavy line. I think I use about 11lb and did okay when I used to fish fresh water for trout, your line is the most important thing for spin fishing, you can get it from the warehouse pretty cheap. Pink Tasmanian Devils and Black/Gold Toby lures go hard too.
I might have to get into some fishing this year desu, I miss it.
