All the coolest places in Portland were torn down.
The downtown used to be all cast iron face architecture, this pic was their high school.
They drove freeways through what wasn't torn down for no reason or burned up in the great fire.

Idk why suddenly in the 1890s every cool thing burnt down. It's got to be some massive insurance scam or serial arsonist cult
Look up GREAT FIRE of any city and I'm telling you some time in the 1880s-1920s it happened.
