hey /out/, /n/ here, looking for experiences with e-bikes. i commute 15 miles daily, but i also go hiking and camping - what would you recommend? i hear REI has some good stuff

I have a Talaria sting and it's pretty cool. If you set it up right you can go on the street and on trails. You can easily get 15 miles on a charge commuting. And they can get up to like 50 mph
They are kinda expensive(I bought mine used for$3,700) but I think it's something to look in to.
You could get a dirt bike cheaper but then you have to add lots of things to make it street legal as well as having to get it registered and insured.
The Sting has a fake pedal kit you can buy to make it look for pedestrian friendly.

last year I did acid on bicycle day and rode around some of RI's coastal trails with some friends, was a fucking blast. my rig was more of a road bike, but I can only imagine you would have fun with a mountain bike type setup
