No. Its quite possibly the worst place to go /out/. If youre there, dont go outside or go to any parks or trails. Anyone thinking about visiting Cascadia should go elsewhere because its already full of people anyways. Please dont discuss Cascadia or perpetuate the myth that its a great place because that only leads to massive disappointment for those who come here.

Mainer here. Went to PNW for the first time ever last week (Crater Lake and adjoining Nat'l Forest). Landscape was eye-popping for sure, impressive amount of wilderness, but the forests were too agoraphobic for my liking. Felt like I was tiptoeing around a solemn cathedral. Give me swamps and doghair thickets where I can hide or take a poop without the feeling Bigfoot is watching.

My home island has some decent spots.
You can drive for less than an hour and be in some remote ass place.
Only thing not doable is live off what you hunt, unless you are fishing.
