Im guessing this is already an effect of being relatively nearby Jackson. people who cant quite afford 7-8 figure homes but still want to live nearby.

A ski resort wouldn't work there. It isn't close enough to any major population centers which aren't already closer to different ski resorts.

like Jackson Hole is to anywhere else? I guess a full on resort wouldnt work but even just a small casual ski run could stir up enough interest to create a new hotspot

I loved Wyoming when I visited, but it's very dry for 80% of the state, and yeah, lack of jerbs.

>4. Snake River Canyon is protected from development by the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act. Ferry Peak is the North Wall of the Grand Canyon of the Snake prior to where the river stagnates into the Palisades Reservoir. The river upstream of Palisades Reservoir is protected by the federal Wild and Scenic Rivers Act of 1968 which reads:

1, and 4/5 are the only actual reasons. The terrain isn't friendly for the average skier and the feds and environmentalists would stonewall the project.

Anyway, this town still looks really cool, besides WFH requirement and lack of schools.
