>>2643506>basic principle of less weight being easier to carry. I hike to enjoy my leisure time.I call that taking a stroll. I couldn't do that all day let alone on a four week trip in the mountains. I need to feel my cardio and do some other weighted stuff to feel good and healthy.
Gym culture is not a fix. It doesn't promote a fully developed well-rounded physique, health or healthy joints. Been there more than ten years ago. Especially in the age of youtube fitness it must be horrible for young people to start lifting today. They will either get eating disorders, get fat or injured, or get nowhere with ab circuits and athlet-x. or "successfully" follow their powershitting program to enter hippo mode. If you "make it" you will still have weak posture, weak back and rear delts, and weak glute/hip rotators. No muscle activation during daily activity. They still sit for hours every day. So its no wonder they get back and knee pain from carrying a backpack, moving crates, planks, even if they can squat, bench, and dead two or three plates.
What fixed me was being on my feet all day, getting off the concrete, and doing weighted stuff all day - like carrying a real backpack. That plus ignoring the 1-2-3-4 bullshit and taking a honest look in mirror and how my body moves to decide which muscles I had to grow in order to look and feel healthy, to perfect my posture and take the pressure off my joints when active.
Have to go. I don't get paid past 8 pm. See you tomorrow UL faggots.
