but if you do the proper weight management thing, ultralight everything else, and have a couple good filters and/or water treatment systems, they DO make traveling between different streams, rivers, lakes and different bodies of water HECK OF A LOT EASIER than hauling a kayak/canoe/boat between different elevations, rivers, streams, and lakes.
