The tarp issue seemed like it would be especially true in really bad weather. Like I said, I’ve only tried one (at a group camp out). But it looked like the tarp would have to be massive to really pull it down close to the hammock. I’m not sure if they’d work with doors or tarp beaks. I guess if the hammock body is waterproof none of that matters.
