You're given a time machine to go on an /out/ trip at any time and place in history for one week. Where would you go and why? Any extinct organisms you'd like to taste, or animals you'd like to see, or human cultures you'd like to experience?

Personally I would like to visit antarctica during the paleocene, before it froze over. I can't begin to imagine all the unique flora and fauna that's just completely unknown to us because the fossils are buried under miles of ice. It was supposedly temperate rainforest back then too so it would be pretty comfortable to camp in.
