Surveying some land my uncle bought, 8 hectares of (near) untouched Patagonian forest. What do you think?

I'm gonna buy an hectare from him next year, and I'll be helping him to build up the place, as I live around 30min away by car. We're planing on building first a shed to safely store tools, then a campsite, then a proper cabin.

Do YOU own your own slice of heaven right? Or at least are working towards it?

Ive saved a bunch of cash but need the market to take a downturn in order for me to be able to afford something actually semi-decent. Right now every "slice of heaven" in my area is 5 to 10x the price of what it should be.
Id be lying if I said its not really fucking frustrating that I cant buy something because retards have overvalued the shit out of the most undesireable plots of land.

i do! wife and i bought a few acres in '19 and built our house. since then we picked up the adjacent lot, bringing the total up to 7.
We went with a construction loan that covered the purchase price of the land, site development, then construction -- upon completion it rolled over into a conventional mortgage.
it was the singular best decision i've ever made in my life.
our trajectory was pretty similar, we were about 35 minutes from the land when we bought it, first order of business was building a shed, then putting up a gate.

Yes but its only half a hectare and its 1.5h from where I live.

Will take many years of work whilst managing urbanite life/career/family.

Using camper as work hut works really well.

bought 15 acres of forest next to a river with GF last year about this time. old maple forest. never ending firewood. ginseng, morels, chantarelles grow there among many other things. wild salamanders roam around the camp at night. place gets cooler every time I explore it more.. there's black cherry in there, some elm, a bunch of less common stuff here and there. planted american chestnut, more american ginseng, and saskatoons and planning to plant pawpaw and fuji apples and plums and cherries out there. Neighbors are all cool people, most of them make maple syrup and just want to hang out in the woods. next week we're building a shed with a loft. got a cubic grizzly stove ready to go and the entire solar setup. work as an applied physicist so looking forward to incorporating some interesting ideas for a couple of things in it as well... bought some old paslode framing and brad guns and fixed em up and a bunch of other stuff.
