Need Ideas for active Vacation in November

I'll have to leave my home for 2 weeks in November so I thought I'll get a nice vacation in.
I'd like to spend it somewhere relatively warm but since search results seem to be catered to the all inclusive beach resort tourists I thought I'll ask you guys for some pointers.

Where can I go to go hiking, swimming and maybe fishing with moderate to warm temperatures in November? I'm starting from Germany if that helps - would prefer to not break the bank by flying over to South America or Australia.

good ideas, didn't know there's hiking going on there. I'm pretty new to organizing this kind of vacation. Will I be fine with just booking a hotel for the first couple of days and then wing it for the rest of the stay just traveling from place to place or is that something I can't do without extensive prep?

I know a lot of mountain bikers go to Medeira, not that far for you and has kino /out/ Idk the laws around going camping and hiking there.

If you are going to the United States, your best bet is the south western or south eastern US. It won't be as warm but flyfishing is huge in the SE.
I use this website: https://smokymountains.com/fall-foliage-map/ to help plan where I want to go since peak fall foliage usually means day time temps in the mid 50s. Not so good for swimming but the landscape becomes incredible. Also in the US there are tons of places where you can camp and backpack wherever the hell you want with no consequence. North Georgia would be your best bet, you could fly into Atlanta (US' largest airport) and then drive an hour or two north. You have some fall foliage in Germany but the US has the best.

For the SW, anywhere in California south of Monterey (Big Sur + Traverse Ranges) will be good as well. These places have the climate of southern Greece/Spain/Italy. Water is always cold year round but people go in the winter. Fishing opportunities are more limited but the coastal hiking is amazing. Those ranges are really rugged and often outside of the tourist spots and the PCT totally untraversed.

For Europe, maybe the Canaries? They seem to have the year round warm climate and I know they are popular for diving as well, and the islands hold Spain's tallest point.

If you are planning something like this, I would start with a microsoft excel sheet, plot your flights, and then make a list of things that you want to do and then plot them on google maps to find out the commute times, then use CalTopo to plot your own routes and Alltrails to check route conditions (or if the route is too commonly used and you want to avoid). This has the added benefit of forcing you to check for conditions (such as closures) and it gives you a realistic timetable. I usually try to plan 3 days of hard stuff with 1 day of rest in between.

I went to Belize in November once. I definitely needed a wet suit but the diving was still comfortable. And it's just a short flight from southern USA.

Casamance in southern Senegal, you can hire someone to take you deep-sea fishing all day for like 50 euro, or rent rods from your hotel and fish off the beach in the estuary.

I'm going to Nairobi, Kenya in 13 days.

Met a woman online in lockdown on a chat app, she turned out to be a Swahili-speaking tribeswoman who teaches religious education at a school there. I realised that she's solid and trustworthy, so we've been travelling around Kenya together 1-2 times per year since then.

This time I'm going for 9 days and we're going on Safari at the National Park, which is actually right next to the city, as pictured. Imagine having lions, giraffe, zebra, and crocodiles right next to the capital city, how wild is that? There is also an Arboretum there which hosts many rare, unusual and old tree cultivars from around the globe. But to be honest with you, the thing I like about goinjg to Africa is that it all feels "out"... the driving is "out", the customs are "out" (but also conservative, old-fashioned and largely untouched by modern Wester conventions), and there is just a very different vibe. That said thoiugh, I'm not a big man and I've always been safe there as long as I stayed indoors at night.
