My favorite piece of gear is my Montbell Super Stretch Down Hugger sleeping bag. This thing has elastic built into the stitching, so you can roll around, stretch your legs, and whatnot, and the bag stretches with you. I have the 15*F version, and I am not sure if it's good all the way down to 15 degrees (I just haven't had the chance to take it below 35*F yet), but I think it would be plenty good to 20*F with a warm enough sleeping pad.
I am also partial to my ULA Circuit backpack. Very light, but supportive, and has just the right amount of pockets, in just the right places.
