I'm planning to hike in various mountains of Italy, starting from Northeast. How hard is to pitch a tent terrain-wise? I know it's officially forbidden but may vary from region to region, so the question is how risky? So far I've only camped in Monte Sole in Emilia-Romagna in April and it went pretty smooth since these are not very tall nor popular but I expect my upcoming destinations to be more frequented and thus more risky to pitch a tent.
