>>282037>>282046>>282057>Technical climbing experience Well, let me start by saying I'm not going to be doing any "real" climbing yet.... (Not trying to die, can't climb trad and not about to try to learn in the mountains) I'm just talking about scrambling around for the most part.
That being said, I started like, 6 months ago climbing. Got everything needed to TR shit and I've been blowing up my local spots (when I can...) I can boulder on like a v5? I don't get much time on the ropes at the gym because my friends are broke and the gym costs $$.
>Experience I'm not Ranulph Fiennes or anything, but I didn't live a sheltered childhood. I played in dirt, got cuts and scrapes. I camp, fish, hike and the lot, and I'm a pretty savvy guy (I like to think so..) When we go camping, I'm usually the one that gets looked to for help/answers/etc etc.
>Highest I've climbed Technically, 1500m? I think? But you start from pretty damn high up. Biggest I ever did was like 3300ft from basically 400ft level and class 3 scrambling for the last 600ft of elevation. It used to be a big deal of a hike for us, but I've since been by myself and can do it with energy to spare.
>Pro guide/training Not really viable....... don't take that to mean "I don't need no help hurrrrr imma go in the mountains now byyyeee" I'm just on the low end of the scale for dirtbags, and every penny I got is gonna be needed. Hundreds/thousands for guide services and advanced classes are in the future for me, but not yet..... (Hence why I'm asking these questions...)
I'll definitely keep it below 10k feet for awhile and take my time with altitude. Things that can kill you that you can't see? I'll not fuck with them, thanks.
Thanks for the responses, anything you guys can tell me with that info?
