>biking along a trail
>mouth is dry as fuck
>see a lake a little bit ahead
>nice
>I don't carry water bottles on me often, but I just got a bike for $10 with a custom water bottle. Theres metal slots on it so it can literally only connect to this bike specifically
>open bottle, walk up to late and start filling it up
>guy riding in picrel rolls past me, staring
>uh ok
>keep riding after taking the best sip of my life
>wheelchair bike guy asks me "did you just drink from that lake?"
>say "yea, I was thirsty"
>he responds "Don't you know there's bacteria in that water?"
> The water was pretty close to crystal-clear + I knew the city I was in uses that lake as its main source of tap. They wouldn't use it if it was contaminated / extremely muddy
> Just respond with "I was thirsty" and leave as he sits there dumbfounded, I don't go outside to be social
why was he so fucking confused by it? Even if that guy only drinks from bottles, he washes his hands and bathes in that exact water
