>>2656091>>2656112Doesn't seem to be seated enough in the eye. One thing to look out for is if the edges of the eye have burrs or mushrooming going into the eye. You should remove this as it will artificially restrict how deep you can seat it, and split bits of the handle where it swells when you seat it. When seating, I feel like it is easier to (once it's started) to tap the bottom of the handle rather than hammering on the axe head. No need to hold the head against anything, the inertia alone is enough. This is all assuming the handle fits decently enough of course.
