I've been in andorra during december many times and last year was exceptionally unskiable. I'm not sure if we can predict this yet but if this year is gonna be that bad again I'll probably skip.
Just wondering if we can reasonabky predict it.

That would be great for nature, but at the same time, I don't want to celebrate carnival alongside a bunch of stuck-at-home ski yuppies. Hope they build indoor facilities instead.

Well, I'm all for containing most people into cities and not letting them beyond 100 meters into nature, but we do need snow. Or at least rain, but snow looks nicer.

Last year was epic in the West. Sierra got 58 feet of snow. Similar in Utah.

In the northern rockies, places like Big Sky, Jackson etc...try to open by Thanksgiving (Nov 27th.) Its snowing at big sky right now.

Idk maybe someone knows some source that tries to make predictions based on the current conditions of the subatmospheric windstreams or whatever. I'm not a metereologist but I know statistics and fluid simulations can go a long way in getting a rough idea.

Tangential but if someone knows a place where I can compare graphs of the temperatures of december around the alps across different years, I'd love to stare at some graphs for a bid. I'm not sure what the rate of change is.

because it's getting worse and worse every year
some ski resorts are lower, so these close before the ones higher up, which means it's getting worse gradually, not "oops literally all snow in Alps is evaporated overnight"
