I bought a ski shell a few years back for like $300, that was worth it for sure, but then I saw the newer version for like $800 and I wouldn't buy it for that.

They're better than Grundens. Personally I go for guy cotton. Guy cotton fleece pants/hoodies can get really wet and still keep you warm and their raingear is durable.

Their shit is elite, better than arcteryx in terms of every day use. Sure captain arcteryx coming in out of a helicopter for his 3-6 hours of balls to the wall rescue ice climbing or some shit will be pretty well prepared, but in terms of normal shit and anytime there is bushwhacking involved helly hansen is great and super durable.
