>>2667149You and I have had vastly different experiences in the Ozarks. I grew up at the lower section of Mark Twain by Roaring River, and have hiked parts of the Ozark highlands Trail. Been down by Cass on Fly Gap road and FM1504 all the way down to the Mulberry river.
Every single time the only way I could find some relative quiet was by hiking on the OHT and even then one night we had four wheelers from Birds adventure area show up a midnight and disturb camp.
I'm self taught and can backpack just fine; but if there is that much of a difference in experience I have obviousley been missing something, what have I been doing wrong?
Trying to follow thew rules about keeping vehicles on established roads has obviosulet not worked if I am always being distruebed.
Any tips for the next time I go?
